Black Pepper
Black pepper comes from the peppercorn plant. It contains the antioxidant piperine which may prevent stem cell growth within tumors.
Black pepper has “biotransformative effects” that help your body detox itself and better absorb the benefits from any other herbal protocols. This also aids in reducing inflammation in your body.
Additionally, the piperine and alkyl amides in black pepper have been shown to have properties that stop the growth of cancer cells and boost healthy cellular growth. To effectively use this as a protocol, you can add a few cracked pepper seeds to a smoothie, a salad, soup, or even an entree for a flavorful antioxidant boost.
Chlorella
Chlorella comes from the single-celled algae Chlorphyta native to Japan and Taiwan. Chlorella is extremely nutrient dense, packed with minerals, amino acids, trace minerals, chlorophyll, phytonutrients, essential fatty acids, and several cellular building blocks of proper nutrition.
Chlorella has a hard cell wall that makes it unabsorbable for the human body. Therefore, using it as a supplement is best. When you do get to enjoy chlorella, you will find the benefits are almost miracle-like. Chlorella is 50-60% protein and it contains all 9 essential amino acids.
The algae is wonderful in helping your body detox itself. Chlorella binds to heavy metals which allows for them to pass through your digestive system and leave your body as waste. Isn’t that amazing?
What’s more, chlorella has the ability to enhance your immune system by helping your body produce more antibodies. This is wonderful because it then helps your body respond properly to any infections of bacteria. Chlorella has been shown to boost the powers of T cells in individuals who have been diagnosed with cancer; this helps your body actively fight against abnormal cell growth.
Spirulina
Spirulina is derived from seaweed in bodies of water in Africa, Mexico, and Hawaii. It is one of the oldest life forms on this planet which may contribute to its amazing properties. Spirulina is a blue green algae that contains phycocyanin, a green-blue pigment that is made up of protein molecules. Phycocyanin is a highly-effective antioxidant and anti-inflammatory. This means spirulina is great for helping rid the body of free radicals which contribute to the progression of cancer in your body.
Moreover, it has been found that the chlorophyll in spirulina binds to carcinogens as well as boosts the immune system. In addition it has been known to increase melatonin production and assist the body in detoxing heavy metal during sleep. In a study of oral cancer patients in India, spirulina was found to help them reduce the size of their mouth ulcers.
Flaxseed
Flaxseed, also known as linseed is the ripened, dried seed of the flax plant. The oldest living flax plant is believed to have originated in Egypt. Flaxseed is an ideal source of dietary fiber, omega 3 fatty acids, and lignan.
The omega 3 fatty acids helps reduce inflammation in your body which helps boost your immune system. It is well known that inflammation is one of the main fuel sources for cancer’s development so flaxseeds are a great anti-cancer protocol.
The phytoestrogens in flax seeds, like lignan, have been able to block estrogen receptors in cells that can contribute to the mutation of breast tissue. Lignan is also able to protect other cells that may be damaged or at risk of mutation and metastasis.
You can sprinkle ground flax seeds into your favorite smoothies or salads and even use the oils in dressings, marinades, and cooked dishes.
Chia seeds
Chia seeds come from the Salvia Hispanica plant, a mint-family that comes from Central America and the southwest U.S. In fact, you may not know that the word ‘chia’ comes from the ancient Mayan word for ‘strength.’
The tiny seeds are a significant source of antioxidants which means they are great at fighting free radicals in your bodies. Chia is also known to reduce inflammation in your body, as you know, inflammation drives cancer’s development. Chia seeds are an excellent way to add omega-3 fatty acids and other nutrients to your diet. They are also rich in fiber, calcium and iron and the oil of these seeds has anti-cancer properties.
Research shows that the alpha-linolenic acid in chia seeds has the ability to inhibit the growth of breast and cervical cancer cells. This is miraculous, yet researchers warn that chia seeds may actually contribute or promote metastasis in prostate cancer cells.
You can easily add chia seeds to your diet by making a chocolate chia seed pudding, mixing in into oatmeal, or sprinkling over your favorite salad.
